I recently did a pfd with credit systems international inc for a old med bill for $125. Now they stated that by paying the full amt that they would delete it from all 3 cra. I just checked my free credit karma and it no longer shows a balance on the collection just has paid collection. Now I just paid on the 24th it's only the 28th but should I be worried that they won't do as they agreed and delete the acct or is this standard practice that they update as paid and then delete? I supposedly have a letter on the way saying that they agreed to delete the acct. This is my 1st time dealing with this it was my only neg acct on my CR so I want it gone asap. Anyone deal with a similar situation and know what the outcome may be? Thanks in advance.
Give it just a little time, I bet they delete.
Oh ok i will. I was just worried that they updated as paid but didn't delete. I'll be patient hopefully they'll do their end of the deal. Thanks!
You have it in writing, which means if they don't follow through, it's a breach of contract and you could sue.
if they don't delete then i would challenge the debt and request it to be verified. i bet lexington law could get it deleted.

Lexington Law is not a law firm. The OP has a valid contract for removal. If not removed, hire a real attorney and sue them for breach of that contract.
This letter came in today..
Due to extenuating circumstances, a request is being sent to delete the report issued by out office to the CRA. Although at the time we are requesting a deletion, please understand that our client owns the account. The CRAs have requested that the information be sent electronically. Our updates are scheduled to be sent every seven days. In the meantime, if you require verification that the change is in process, a prospective credit grantor's can fax a verification request to out office at xxx-xxx-xxxx. The request must include signed authorization by any individual for which information is being requested. Please retain a copy of this correspondence in your files.Our control of reports to the CRAs is limited to reporting initiated by our office.
So I guess it should be changed in a few days according to this. Can't wait so I can get my 1st CC.

Good news today the collection was DELETED! Sucks I just wasted $13 sending certified letters to dispute on wed lol. Oh well glad I have a clean credit report now
Also got my 1st cc it's a secured wells fargo card didn't mind since they waive the AF since I'm an employee. Hopefully I can get an idea how much it helps once my scorewatch updates! eq was 590 hopefully it increases a little!!!
