Should I dispute an incorrect DOFD?

Hello,

At the beginning of the year I pulled my credit report from annualcreditreport.com and my DOFD shows its was open in Nov 2008, but its says that the CA and CO will roll off as of 6/2013 and 7/2013. If you do the math the DOFD is not correct. I know for sure that the my DOFD is incorrect. DOFD was 6 and 7 of 2006. The SOL is coming up 6 and 7 of 2010 which is four years ( For Texas). Should I wait until the SOL is up and dispute or should I dispute is now, or should I just wait until the 7 1/2 years is up and then dispute. Hopefully you all will understand what i am saying.

Thanks in Advance...

Re: Should I dispute an incorrect DOFD?

The date open has nothing to do with the DoFD.  It is just the date the CA opened the account with the CRA.

If it is due to come off 6/13 and 7/13, DoFD would be 1/2006 and 12/2005.  Going just by 7 years then 6/2006 and 7/2006 would be the correct dates of the DoFD.

The OC and the CA account should both come off at the same time.
