Hi,
It's been so long since I got credit card offer in the mail, it was really exciting to see a discover card offer. The only problem is I have 6 inq on TU already and I'm looking to apply for a mortgage within the next 6 months (asap really). Should I hold out on it? I'm applying for a USDA if that matters. This will be my first non secured credit card in about six years

If you're looking to apply for a mortgage, DON'T GET NEW CREDIT! If that new account posts when you close, or right before you apply, the underwriters might not like that. I would wait until you close, and then app before the new mortgage posts to your credit.
thats what i thought, was just excited to see an offer! lol thanks
General rule is no apping for new credit within 6 months of a mortgage app. Good Luck.
