A PFD or any communication to a CA or JDB should never be signed, (a typed name is what should be done) they could copy your signature and forge it onto bogus documents resetting SOLs and other unexpected things. A PFD to an OC can usually be signed as they are not bottom feeders like CAs are,
I agree, I never sign anything with an OC.
