Showing Verizon as closed collections account but serviced by CBE

I have one collections on my report from Verizon in the amount of $228 i am trying to get rid of. It is showing closed but they have updated it several times since 2011 so it is murdering my score. The only other thing i have is two late payments from 2011 from Cap One and my Credit Union. I have tried talking to VZ to PFD but they said it is released to the CBE group and they cant talk to me about it but the is nothing from CBE on my credit report. I sent a PFD to the verizon address on my report about 3weeks ago and got no response. How do i get this cleared up, should i send a PFD to CBE with the stipulation that VZ delete it or what? Im hoping other people have had sucess with this since VZ is known for being crooks. Thanks in advance!

CBE has no authority to remove Verizon's TL, only Verizon can do that.

You can send the CA payment for not reporting, if they agreed.   Then GW Verzion and see if they will delete once paid.

So would it do anything to send a DV to the CBE group?

It could.  If they can't validate then they would most likely delete. 

Once they receive the DV, if timely, they can't report until they validate.
