Simple Question - Just Unsure Of The Answer...

Sidewinder - I know we spoke about this, but quick questions. I owed a small amount of money to a bank. Then a CA contacted me. I paid the CA, and they sent me a letter saying they would GW and delete the information from the CRAs. I received this letter on March 23rd. When I check my CRs, it still says "Account Information Disputed By Consumer, meets FCRA requirements.

My question is this : if I  would re-open an account with the bank, could they delete the negative information? If I'm correct, only the person that reported can do so, but I'm kind of wondering if this will be deleted or not.

Only the one reporting can remove the information.

If they agreed, in writing, to remove the information, dispute as "creditor agreed to remove".

That's what I thought. Thanks Sidewinder, I'll do that now! Smiley Happy
