So this is a Pay For Delete...right??

Is this considered a PFD--getting it in writing?

"Ms. XXXX,

This will confirm our conversation regarding your past due balances and your credit rating.

The balance due is $339.95 on one account, and $163.79 on another, for a total of $503.74.

As soon as you make a payment (you indicated you would be going into the XXXX payment center), you will call me and let me know.  I will then contact our collections team and they will work with our collections agency to ensure this is removed from your credit score.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  Otherwise, I will wait to hear from you.  Thank you"

If that's your main concern, I wouldn't be worried. Emails are definitely considered "in writing," and it leaves a nice trail of evidence. One of the duties of my job is to deal with copyright permission requests, and a lot of approvals are granted via email.

Sure sounds like one. I'd be shocked if they found a way around that wording.

Re: So this is a Pay For Delete...right??

my only concern is that we are doing this via e-mail.  If something went wrong would this be considered "in writing" if we are corresponding electronically??
