So where I am at on my journey

Good Evening guys!

I am so happy to have found this forum to help me get back to financial security for my family!

SOOO I am now down to the following baddies on my report

1. Repossesion from Capital One Auto

2. Two FPB cards that are C/O

3. Portfolio Recovery for a charged off capital one card

4. Old collection for a utility bill

5. Some very old late payments to student loans

I have been able to remove other baddies on my report from various other methods I learned on this site.

Now what I have built positively:

 - So of course I have had no revolving debt so I started building some of that

1. Used the SCT to get a Boscov's store card(We have one by us and they do have some things I would buy.)(SL $250.00)

2. Used the pre-approval tool and got a QS1(SL $300.00)

3. Picked up a Kohl charge(wife always shops there so I can run money through it and pay off monthly)

4. JUST GOT A PREAPPROVAL FOR AMEX...I am floored...I apped and it came back APPROVED for a SL of $1000.00(small peanuts for many people but I am miles from where I was!)

So now I am going to go to the garden for awhile while I tend to the baddies and grow these cards as me and the misses have baby #3 on the way and am going to need a bigger house soon!

Eq is 598 TU is 607 Ex is 662

Eq started the lowest at 510 so is still lagging behind a bit as I am still waiting for two other collections to delete off.

What did you start with if you don't mind me asking? I'm trying to figure out a plan for PFA and midland currently. Congratulations on your progess so far

Nice job with the rebuild so far!! Gardening at this point is a good call. At the same time, don't give up on working on the negatives on your reports. Keep it up!!!
