Sold Charge-off Account Question

I recently pulled all 3 of my credit bureau reports and noticed that on 2 accounts listed, they state my account was sold and it reflects a $0 balance with the status "paid in full - was a charge off." With that said, I do not see that the "new" account holders are listed on my credit. Does this mean those companies are not reflecting my account in any capacity or is it possible that the account was sold and I paid the balance off?

I'm only questioning this b/c I am fairly certain that for 1 of the accounts, the balance was paid in full 7 years ago when I had to pay a few collections off due to purchasing a home.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Re: Sold Charge-off Account Question

Generally, accounts are not sold or transferred if they are paid in full, only with a balance owing.

The CA or whoever it was sold to is just not reporting.
