It's been a long time since I've did some credit repair. I have some accounts that were sold off and I paid them a long time ago. They still report as late and unpaid(Original Creditor). Is there a loop hole to get these reporting correctly or deleted? I know since they have been sold it's supposedly out of the original creditors hands. Gonna be gardening for a long time and was wanting to work on this. Any help appreciated
Send a dispute of their accuracy with proof they are paid.
The CRA must refer to the creditor for their investigation, but even if the creditor does not respond, the CRA must either verify, correct, or delete at the conclusion of hte 30-day reinvestigation period.
At the least, if your documentation is good, they should correct under their reinvestigation finding to show paid, $0 balance.
