I have some charged off loans from like 5 years ago still reporting. How bad do you all think the impact is if they keep reporting charged off?

Depends on whether they are updating periodically or not.

Then they are doing maximum score damage. Settling them (if you can't get a PFD) will stop the updating and allow FICO to "age" them.
