HSBC no longer owns the loan so there is not much there to go by. Since they sold it they won't be trying to collect.
Is that the only TL associated with the car on your CR?
Since you haven't told us if the debt is still under SOL, I will just assume that it is, so you should find out who the collection agency is, and then see how receptive/friendly they are to PFDs.
