State tax owed

I am going to have to set up a payment plan with 9K in  state tax I owe. Does anyone know if this will show up as debt?  I am trying to get a house this fall (In the process of building) and if it shows up, it will throw my ratios out and we won't get it

If it hasnt gone to a tax lien nope its not going to show.

If you make an installement agreement, does it automatically put it in as a lien?

I'm not sure about state but I did make a payment arrangement with the IRS and it never showed on my credit report.  I did have a state tax that went unpaid, became a lien, I didn't make payment arrangements and it ended up on my credit report.

Just call up your state's dept. of revenue and ask.  If it's not a lien yet then it won't go on your report.
