Statute of Limitations question.

I live in Ohio and the SOL from my understanding is 6 six years.

If I contacted a debt collector via email inquiring about pfd and the settlements they offered does that mean the SOL has started over? Should l still send a certified DV?

Thank you for your time.

Re: Statute of Limitations question.

No, a CA does not set the CRTP or SOL for the debt.  That is set with the OC.  Only way you could start a new clock is to enter into an agreement with the CA and then don't follow through.
