My score has falllen to a 570 because of a few new inquiries   They tell me "You need to build credit"...so I apply for credit, and it hurts me.  Sigh.  Hopefully once this dumb credit card comes in the mail and matriculates for a while it will go back up.  10 point drop really hurts though.

I recommend repair then rebuild. If you haven't been approved yet, I recommend starting with a secured CC. You'd limit your inquiries and save $$$ in the process. Getting that first CC to report is tough and this is the way to go (IMO). After it reports, then it gets easier, but I recommend getting your scores in the mid-600s before then next and you'd have a better show at better CCs and higher CLs.
