Hello Everyone,
So far you, Credit Ninja's, have helped me out with squaring away and building my credit with credit cards and fixing a Utility baddie. So now I have my next objective should you choose to accept. Below I have listed my 4 Student load accounts that have some lates reporting on my credit report. This is due to a lapse in deferments. I and awaiting approval for an IBR (Income-based repayment plan). Since the inception of these loans they have been deferred or under IBR. What would you recommend I do to try to have these removed? Can I submit goodwill letters, any chance of success? Also where would I send the letters to or can I email them?
All advice is welcomed. Thank you very much for your help and guidance in advance.
Your mentee,
Family Man Dan.

For the Navient loans I would contact Navient's student/borrower advocate.
For the Dept of Edu loans I would call them directly or the Ombudsman office
Are you asserting inaccuracies in what they have reported, or are you basing your request for removal on good-will?
Did they improperly terminate the payment deferral?

AhmedinVA,
Thank you,
Whom is the Navient Loan Student/Borrower advocate?

Hello RobertEG,
Thanks for your response. I'm not quite sure. I believe the deferrment ended and I wasn't aware of any payments being due and it took a while to get the next deferrment or income-based repayment plan approved. I did not make any payments so their reporting could be correct. I just believe I should have been notified or been able to have the loans deferred quicker to avoid these missed payments from occurring.
