OK, yeah, once you get your credit steps increase at the six month mark, Cap One will only give out CLI's every six months. But they do usually give pretty decent inceases - particularly if your scores have gone up. And if you have two accounts you can combine them. I have taken my two "toy limit" cards of $300/$500, to $9800 in a little over one years time.
Heres the way mine went:
Card #1 opened 2011 at $300 -- increased to $800 feb/15 --increased to $2300 sept/15
Card #2 opened 2012 at $500 -- increaded to $1500 feb/15 -- increased to $3500 sept/15
Rolled the $2300 cards limit into the $3500 card in Sep/15 for a single $5800 limit card then applied the next day for another Platinum card at $500
Card #3 at $5800 - increased to $7800 Feb/16
Card #3 opened Sept/15 at $500 -- increased to $1500 Dec/15 -- credit steps increase to $2000 Feb/16.
Combined the $2000 card into the $7800 card today for a single card at $9800. Will app for another card tomorrow.
