Another one just dropped off.
TL: Four years old, OC was Qwest. Settled for less than full balance in 2010.
Method: GW letters via email and fax.
I sent emails to the following general addresses, which got me quick responses:
recoveryteam@afni.com
rso@afni.com
I also have more specific emails/fax #s/addresses available. PM me if you'd like the list.
Once again, thank you FICOforums! Y'all rock!
Congrats, Renata!!!!!!
CONGRATS
Good Job!!! Hope i start to see some good luck with my GW letters!
Would you Please PM me the list...Thanks in advance!!
I had a collection from AFNI ($88) that was not mine, but didn't have any success fighting it.
I sent a goodwill letter asking for it to be removed because I paid it in full 3 years ago.
I sent it to the email on their website for "general inquiries" - pretty easy to figure out since they are "customer service" oriented
I got a reply and a .pdf letter stating it would be removed immediately. AFNI is pretty efficient.
Congrats on that! I also had luck with AFNI aka ANDERSON FINANCIAL. The only problem is they mailed me a delete letter, but it still showed up on my credit for like a year after. Finally it has come off!
Ok.... this certainly works!!!!! I emailed AFNI on Friday, and I this morning I received a email with an attached PDF file stating they have filed a request to delete from all three CRA's.
Yahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Renata for sharing.
Inspired by people here, I did the same, and had success with a GW deletion within minutes
Note that I called yesterday and was told over the phone that "We don't do deletions", but sending emails instead did the trick.
