Just experienced an early win during my first month of credit rebuilding. I disputed 5 collection accounts, requesting validation of debts and reported balances. Of those 5 disputes, 2 were PIF or settled but had not updated the balance. 1 was close to falling off and the last was reporting to the CB but no notice was mailed to me- so I requested validation. Fast forward 8 days later and I received an update stating all 5 accounts were deleted!
So far, my FICO 8 (EX) increased by 10 points. Hopefully that continues to climb over the next few months.

@freshwind yes- I believe my score was around 595 on Experian when I applied. And assuming everything I've learned so far is correct, VS via Comenity only pulls EX. I've read reviews from people with much lower scores securing a VS card + other stores using SCT but I was not successful. However, YMMV.
