Surprise bump and a drumroll...

Today I got a mild surprise bump -- a few points on TransUnion and 17 points on Equifax for paying a card down below 30%. With Equifax, it brought me to 655, just five points away from "good" territory here on MyFICO. Hitting the GOOD mark will be a major milestone for me.

The biggest benefit of restoring credit for us right now is this -- we've been needing a new washing machine for a while now. I came across a really good deal on the one we've had our eye on at HD. With my $1K limit and only $300 available, it wasn't enough to swing it. Thanks to the work I've done here, I was able to request and obtain an instant CLI and take advantage of that deal. It was installed today.

Been working on better credit management for over a year, but only working on score increase since September. I think I'm doin' alright.

Congrats on the increase.  Have you looked at Lowes.  I found  a great deal on a Samsung pair for under a thousand.  I got a card for Lowes with scores in the 650-669 range, but they pulled EX for me though.  It started off at $500 and within 4 months I got it up to $15k.  Each increase with them has been a SP.  I'm looking at asking for $25k once I can get my score up to 720.
