TL not mine but is helping I think??????

I just recieved a notice that I had recieved A 28 point increase on EQ and a TL was added. This is the TL and how it is reporting.

Past Due - Not Reported           Payment Terms - 11m

Status - Pays account as agreed        First Reported - 03/1/2009

Portfolio Type - Installment           

Description - Closed or paid as agreed $o balance / Account closed by credit grantor

I have no clue what this is or who this creditor is. Is this hurting me in anyway. Is this where the 28 pionts came from? What should I do about this? (leave it, DV, ect???

It is reporting like an OC, not a CA, though I suspect otherwise with the name.

I would pull your report directly from the CRA. You can do so for free once a year via annualcreditreport.com. You want the full report (not the ones from here, TC, CCT, or elsewhere). The full report will have demographic codes. You'd want to associate the demographic codes with the information in the back of the report to make sure it is your name, address, etc. Plus the code would give you an idea of its age, etc.

The score change came from myFICO, right?

Yes the score came from my fico. I am a member of score watch. I just pulled all three of my reports last month and this info was not on any of the three. If this is not hurting me, which it doesnt appear to be, should i even worry about it? It looks like to me this is reporting that an installment loan has been paid off.

Pulled from EQ and TU and it is reporting as an OC. It is reported in the same section as HSBC Best buy, Chase, BofA. What now?

What does it show for date open?

I don't see anything reporting negative about it. Does it say collection anywhere?

It doesnt say what date it was opened. It says not reported under date opened. I didn't think it was hurting me I just wanted to see what some of the more knowledgeable people thought. I think I will just let it be

Thanks for that last post but as I said it isnt reporting anything bad at all. Not a balance, late, or just anything bad at all. It is listed under the accounts section on my CR and not collection so.......?
