Re: Tactical Training for repairing your credit

My Start was this:

Credit cards(all turned off after divorce 2009 to control where she couldn't open joints and use)

2 credit cards she opened with my name after divorce

1 card ex wife redirected the bills and maxed out card during divorce 5 lates 120days max and charge off/collection

My utilization on one card before Paid and closed all credit cards was 210%, max limits was $3k, had $7k after she maxed them out

23 collections from bills I thought were paid as well as hospital mistakes and her stuff

Several late car payments in repo status

3 late payments 30 days on one mortgage

3 good car notes paid no lates

1 mortgage paid no lates

8 credit cards paid no lates

No open trade lines for a almost 2 years due to divorce

Today

3 collection accounts waiting to drop off(found the right people to PFD, removed where hospital didn't bill insurance a few times, removed ex wife’s accounts)

Closed and removed all unauthorized accounts

One new store credit card opened middle last year $300 now $500, no late payments pay off all but 10% everymonth, never use more then 60% of max

One new monthly loan(like a payday advance) through my new bank started this year, keep a balance of $10(5%) everymonth never use more than 60% of max

4 No late car payments at all(GW right people with picture)

Took over the payments and took possession car she was supposed to pay on(awarded in divorce)

I bought ex-wife a fully paid for SUV and traded her a car with no payments for the one they were calling me to repo, basically she got something for nothing, and I threw in the custom made Voodoo Doll of her I had made but never used as a rear view mirror ornament :smileylol:, stopped the repossession of car and GW (w/divorce paper work) everything on car shows no repo or lates.

1 mortgage 3 late 30day payments(FTC claim disputing now)

1 credit card with 4 late now 30,30,60,90 days not reporting as charge off or collection(GW with picture) still working on GW delete lates

Prayer, rain dancing, tax returns and my share of MY retirement spent to payoff everything!

what is your advice for those of us who don't have kids... am I supposed to send a letter with a pic of myself? doing what? lol, but seriously... I can see how reading a letter and seeing children fotos may work... perhaps I could use a picture of myself when I was a kid and attach that instead! :smileylol:

Re: Tactical Training for repairing your credit

Since CAs want to make money, you're not going to get as good a financial deal with them as you will with the OC.  So, I don't really see any reason to talk on the phone with them.  (with OCs calling makes sense, as does GW and PFD letters).

With CAs it is good advice to be polite, but I would only contact them in writing, and request that they only contact you in writing.  Having a paper trail means you can prove what happened when.

Re: Tactical Training for repairing your credit

I agree a paper trail, but with the paper trail when you call them, you state "I am not rescinding the do not contact", but also remember this, connecting with a person, mild humor and references to other collection agencies will never be achieved by letters only.

Above all speeding up the process, there are always questions that are never asked or ever answered when you only use paper.

The point of Tactical Training is to change you from a number to a human/person.
