Hi all. I've been working on trying to get my scores improved and one item I've dealt with for 8 years now is a tax lien. I finally found a lawyer this year that knew what he was doing and the state in question actually sent ME a check (two of them). The lien was filed in January 2006. It was released in September and that is showing on my report. However, I spoke to Transunion today and the rep stated it would remain for 7 years and was slated for removal in December of 2015. I told her the 7 years have already passed and her reply was "Yes, I see that". I have a dispute open but does this make any sense at all? Especially since the lien should have never been filed?
