Taxed on Charge Off, Can't get Mortgage

I just called the county AGAIN. This time I was told it was a penalty sent in by the State Board of Equalization for a "Illegal entity ownership program". I haven't a clue what that means!! My husband has never owned his own business. I called them and they are busy. Too busy.

Yes indeed. This is the common wisdom, although if you genuinely don't think it's yours you should send a DV letter.

I don't believe it's ours, but I don't know. Maybe books got lost in the shuffle when we moved out of the area. Should I still send a DV letter?
