Thanks to all MyFico members.

When I first started lurking around these boards in October my husband and I only had one $300 starter CC. It was under my name and he was AU. I just want to share where we are now.
Most of these are in my name because my DH's file is so thin.

Cap one $800, $500, $300, $500
Amazon Chase $1000
Wal-Mart $300, $1000
Amazon prime $3500
PayPal MC $800
Chevron/Texaco $500
Zales $2200
Kay's $4000

From $300 of credit to over $15000 in less than six months. Thanks for all the tips and backdoor numbers and especially the encouragement from all MyFico members past and present.

Re: Thanks to all MyFico members.

Grats.

Looks good.

Just be careful with the store cards... you have more than enough cards to build a solid profile and piling up on Target/Pep Boys/Kay's/GAP etc etc will drag your profile down in the long run.

Bank cards are a better option.

It's time for you to garden and lets those accounts age.  You've opened more accounts in 6 months than I have in nearly 2 years.  Smiley Wink

Re: Thanks to all MyFico members.

Thanks... I know I've opened up allot of cards these past 6 months. Most of them were to bring my utilization down because the actual cc 's are such low limits. All the cap one cards are still in steps. Six of those cards have a zero balance.

Re: Thanks to all MyFico members.

Thanks for sharing. Nice going and now it is time to garden these new accounts and let them grow.  After a while of no apps you can see if you can get CLIs with SPs and if you are lucky a few of these cards might give you auto CLIs. Smiley Very Happy

Re: Thanks to all MyFico members.

Thanks. I am planning on gardening for the next two years. My last baddie will fall off April '17. And all these inquires will be of by then too. Then I'll see what prime cards I can get.
