Re: Told 3X creditor would remove lates; hasn't happened...

Hey donny10, I submitted my complaint with the BBB today.  Is there a way to upload copies of the letters I received from WF saying that they were updating the reported account information and attach them to my complaint?  At the time I submitted it I didn't see a way to do this.  I'm not at all familiar with the BBB process so any help you could give would be great.  Typically how long does it take to hear from the business after submitting a complaint?

If you missed it when you sent it. Once the BBB notifies you that they have your complaint and they sent it to the business. They will give you a link to your complaint and when you go to your complaint it will allow you to add information and enable you to upload documents. If there is a problem you can call the BBB and give them your complaint number and they will tell you how to upload.

Tomorrow you will most likely get another email letting you know they have reviewed the complaint and sent it to the business. At that point they will give you a link to log on to your complaint. On that page you will see that you can add additional information and has an area that you can attach and upload.

Sweet.  Thanks.  Looking forward to that.  I'll be proactive and upload the 4 adjustment approval letters right away as soon as I have the option to do so.

Re: Told 3X creditor would remove lates; hasn't happened...

Received a call from the EO at Wells Fargo today which was prompted by my BBB complaint.  I'm not sure it will accomplish anything, as the person I spoke with simply stated that he just resubmitted another request to EX and TU to remove the negative reported information.  So, this would be the 5th time they have submitted a request.  I asked if there was anything he could do differently this time to ensure it actually happens and he blamed the bureaus and said it's on them to actually do the update, all WF can do is submit requests.  I told him that typically I've seen these things happen almost immediately... like when they submitted their first request back in October EQ updated with the account being clean within days.  He then said that the bureaus pull info at the end of the month, so if I were to see a change it would likely be late this month or early April.  That confused me, because at first he said (as did the previous 4 letters) that WF submitted a request, which to me sounds like today, but then he goes on to say that the bureaus pull information monthly which is why they say allow 30-45 days.  I thought that was a bit inconsistent.

He told me to call him in early April if I do not see a change on EX and TU.  He said (as did the previous adjustment approval letters) that I can use the letters as proof of the adjustment if I'm applying for credit.  Yeah that's great and all in the event of a manual review if I were applying for a mortgage or car loan for example, but in submitting a CC application online obviously there's no way with a non-manual review that the system would know of a pending adjustment to an account on my report... so it sees the negative account info and responds accordingly (presumably with less favorable results).

This is good news as it captured the attention of the EO. I'm confident that the removals are imminent. The BBB can be a very helpful resource.

I sure hope so... but I'm not all too confident as my last 4 adjustment letters came from different people at the EO.  In a nutshell, I simply have not had very good luck with the EO.  Hopefully since this went through the BBB the person I spoke with today will put in a little more effort above and beyond what the previous 4 people did.  He did say to follow up with him in a month if I don't see the adjustments, so that's good to know that I now have a personal contact that seemingly wants me to see the issue rectified.

It sounds like what he is doing is an internal process, as I was told by WF that they only push information to the credit bureaus. One of my loans from them disappeared last year from TU/EQ and I called them to see if there was any way it could be reinserted. The credit specialist told me the only way to get it to be batched for update would be to change some information, but since it was paid off and never late, there was nothing she could alter to force an update.

If you don't see the update within the timeframe they are giving you (again), I would strongly push that it needs to be looked into deeper than just queuing up whatever submission process the EO has been using.

Re: Told 3X creditor would remove lates; hasn't happened...

That's what I mean... if they've tried something 4X so far that's been unsuccessful, I don't see what a 5th time is going to accomplish if they just keep doing the same thing.  I'm not sure how these updates are sent.  I assume it's an electronic request.  I'm not sure if other means can be used like fax, phone call, etc. but I would think the EO after repeated fails at getting this done using Method #1 would move to Method #2 or #3 for no reason other than to get me off of their back at this point.
