Cross your fingers for me Myfico. Tomorrow I'm getting an answer for a relatively aggressive PFD I sent out. I had two medical collections from within a month of each other assigned to the same CA. One for ~150 and one for ~375. This was about 18 months ago. I paid the smaller one prior to finding the forums unfortunately, but I offered to pay the larger one in exchange for deleting both. I sent out the offer Oct 1, but because the CA uses a PO box they didn't receive my offer until the 18th. They told me it would take up to 30 days to decide, which apparently meant 30 days no matter what. The guy I've talked to said he would contact me no matter what on Monday. If these get tossed I'll be down to 1 paid collection on 2/3 bureaus, with a 6 year old verizon paid charge off still lingering on EQ. Here's hoping...

Called, and the guy assigned my account said still no answer. Not sure what it takes to get someone to take 5 minutes to review my info, but this is pretty frustrating. Will be calling again tomorrow. If I get a NO it will be tough to hear after all this

News-ish?
So, I called back in of course, because I have zero patience. The guy in charge of my account/settlement/blah said he's still waiting BUT. He may have mispoke or at least gotten a little ahead of himself. He told me he's waiting for LOCAL MEDICAL CENTER XXX to sign off, because they need to make sure the collection is fullfilled and everyone agrees to call it a day. When I asked him if that meant it was agreed to buy the CA, he backtracked a bit, saying it was still not fully signed off as YES/NO by them yet.
This makes me hopeful that I might actually get it deleted, or it will absolutely crush my spirit if I get a NO. Either way I doubt I get an answer before next week, since my account guy is off tomorrow.
