Toyota Motor Credit CO Question

Good afternoon, everyone!

So as the title states, I have a question about a Toyota Motor Credit CO. This is the current reporting for it:

Toyota Mtr

Jul, 2013
Sep, 2004
May, 2008
XXXXXXXXXXXXX0001
$1,249
Installment
Individual
$0
Auto Financing
Descriptions
  • Consumer disputes after resolution
  • Charged off account

Balance Current Status Past Due Amount
    $1,111Charged off as bad debt$1,111

Now the question is, since I have no CA reporting this account...can I work out a PFD or settlement with Toyota directly? Would Toyota be willing to take half (from anyones prior experience) or just focus on a full amount? Or, should I just let it drop off in 2015? Thank you in advance!

(Edited to put the present balance!)

Re: Toyota Motor Credit CO Question

UPDATE: Called Toyota Financial Services today and spoke to a nice gentleman and just told him the truth. Looking to take care of this debt, the CA has never notified me of anything about it, and the SOL is over. But, that I feel it's my responsibility to take care of it since it was my fault. (Young, naive, not always a stable job till these past couple of years). He told me that I was correct about the SOL so they won't be actively collecting on it, just reporting derogs until paid. Also, said it has to be paid in full unfortunately and that it would be updated to "Paid, Charge-Off $0 Balance". I got his extension so in two weeks time I can have the full amount without putting myself in a bind to get this one finally taken care of.

After I pay it and it gets updated, should I GW and if so, what should I ask for exactly in this case? Thank you!

How old is the account?  Is it your oldest?

Sorry for the delay, was at one of our retail store locations upgrading the PCs. (I'm the IT Technician for the company I work for)

It is one of my oldest accounts, but not the oldest. It was opened in 09/2004. My Sallie Mae student loans are the oldest coming in at 2003/2004, respectively. Though those student loans I rehabbed early last year and am in current and good standing with the company that took over the loans.

Re: Toyota Motor Credit CO Question

Since it is one of your oldest, I would send GWs asking for them to remove the negative information.

Thank you! You have been very helpful and I appreciate that. I will definitely send GWs to them once I get it paid in two weeks. Have a good weekend!
