Transunion account condition listed as derogatory??

Hi all, I am new here looking for some guidance. Helping out my boyfriend to fix his credit.

First problem. His Transunion credit report is reporting the following:

Condition: Derogatory

Status: Collection / Charge-Off

Current Balance $0

Remarks: Payment after charge off/collection|Paid collection

Should the condition be listed as "derogatory" if the account has been paid in full through collections? Additionally, should the status be "collection/charge off" if the status is paid through collections? Thank you for any guidance you can provide!!

Yes as it was a collection account.

As stated yes it will still report as a derog. Since its paid what needs to be done is a GW letter campaign started to the creditor asking for removal of the TL.
