I am in the process of buying my first home. My lender told me that all dispute comments on my credit report need to be removed. EX and EQ removed the comments immediately. My problem is TU. The comment on one of my accounts is 'Disputed by Consumer'. I called TU and they said that to remove the comment, I would have to initiate a dispute which I did. I told them that I no longer dispute the account and to please remove the comment. About two weeks later, I received a letter from TU saying they had investigated and verified the account. I called them again and explained again that I do not dispute this account. They opened a new investigation. Today I got a letter saying that they have already investigated this and consider my request frivolous and will not re-investigate. What should I do now? I already stated that I do not dispute the account. It would seem to me that the only way to verify the dispute would be to call me and ask me if I still dispute. They are really starting to make me CRAZY!!!

call whoever the account belongs to (citi, chase, etc.) & ask them to remove the comment from their report.

I agree with laz.
