Tribute credit card and dispute question...fico score dropped...

Okay so I have a tribute card that had some late pays on it but was paid and closed by tribute.  Was trying to Dispute citing the FTc 2008 case against them.  This card was current and on time during that court case and then all of a sudden they closed the card.  I continued to pay on it...there were some late pays after it was closed by tribute.  Did a dispute citing the ftc 2008 ruling.  Got an alert yesterday that it was in dispute and my score dropped 16 points!  I was so upset....will it stay down if they delete or what happens after the dispute either way?  Does the age of the account outweigh the late pays for my credit score?

When you dispute an item, it isnt included in scoring. The TL was helping your credit overall.

The late payment impact depends on how old the late payments are.

It probably dropped because of the negative change in AAoA.

Okay...so maybe I messed up on the scone by trying to get  it deleted. Can I contact equifax and request t removed the dispute?
