Trying to get satisfaction of judgement for Payday loan

I took out a payday loan in 2008. Stopped paying so interest would stop accruing. They sued me and garnished my wages. Now I am trying to get a mortgage and it is still showing as a judgement on my credit. I called the place to get the satisfaction of judgement and they are saying I still owe them $150 for the garnishment fee they forgot to add when they originally filed a judgement against me. I haven't heard from them in 5 years and they said it was my responsibility to check my account and know how much I owe. But if they sued me and garnished my wages one would assume once they stopped garnishing they would be paid in full. Right? Any advice is greatly appreciated! I already paid them $890 for a $375 loan.

It was their responsibility to add any fees to the garnishment.  Yes, if they stopped the garnishment that is their problem.  The amount for the judgment was satisified.

Contact the clerk at the courthouse and see what they have in their files.  If you can prove it was taken and satisfied by garnishment they may use that and update it to paid.

I had a similiar experience when I had my SLs offset by the IRS.  After they took $11,000 more than I owed, the CA called and said they forgot to add their fees and I still owed them $640.  I told them that was their problem not mine, I wasn't paying them another penny and they should have included that amount.
