Hard to say because I had no open cards and then I added myself to my spouse's cards as an authorized user and that produced a credit limit and increased the score a lot but then I also made quite a bit of other changes such as inquiries and PFDs to other collections that are deleted now.

BBB the LVNV.. I had one hit prior to the mortgage..
They have an incorrect address reporting on credit reports.. if you send a DV letter to them, it bounces.. I would file a BBB complain, indicating you never recieved a dunning, the address on the credit report is incorrect, and they are reporting your account as a factoring account and not a collection..
many of us have had this removed in a matter of weeks going that route with LVNV
Hunter Warfield is a pain, they never do GWs but I was able to get it off my credit with a direct dispute to them (not the CRA) to their new address (not the one listed on the report) indicating the DOFD on my account was wrong, this lead to its removal.

I'm in the same boat; however, I will say that my LO told me that as of 7/1 (yesterday) you can't have collections exceeding $1,000 for a USDA loan. We're doing the guaranteed program--not sure if the same rule applies for direct.

Asset Acceptance just disappeared on it's own and I disputed Enhanced Recovery and it got deleted so now the Equifax score is at 634, it should be the new middle score. Having trouble with network collections, they showed a $0 balance but after I disputed it, it then went back to the old $82 and $83 balance and shows unpaid still.
