Yes it is :-)
I got my husbands score from 533 to 652 in 1 yr.
@Snapmech wrote:Shogun would you say that going to 544 to 620 in a year is attainable?
With work and dedication, yes.
Check my signature, definitely possible with hard work!
yes, it is possible to raise a score significantly in over a year, as proved by many people on the forum.Keep bugging dish, write them PFD every month if you have too, and if that does not work i would just pay them and send them and start sending goodwill letters. The Citi bank card would only help if your dad has had the card for a number of years to help out your AAoA. But, with this new Equifax scoring i believe, and someone else can feel free to chime in, They are scoring AU accounts more harshly, and you may not get the boost that is needed.Good plan for the 30 day lates.....Good luck!
I went from 490 to 640s in a year and a half. Definitely attainable. BTW, make sure to get your utilization down on the $2k card to 10% or less, that will give you a bump. If you need a car loan, having that being paid over the course of the next year would be a help to your mix. And, as everyone says, keep working on the GWs and PFD (or pay it & try to GW). Good luck!!
Thanks for all the response everyone!
When talking to dish can I still get them to take back that collection? Or would it be too late for that? When i was talking to the CA i found out they dont even have a copy of my contract with dish, but i have heard dci doesnt respond to debt verification letters? I have been given a phone number of a supervisor at DCI, and will contact him tommorrow and see if he will help me out.
So it looks like my plan is to pay down the utilization on $2k cards.
On my other cards should I put something on them every month still and pay them off every month, or should i just let them sit at $0 ?
Im currently working with Ben Bridge Jeweler, Usaa, Cap 1, Sending GW letters for 30 days past due.
