I got a Fingerhut pre-approval, a Legacy Visa pre-approval and a Blaze MC pre-approval in the mail and I ripped them up and tossed them.
I realize these "offers" are not for good cards but it has been 6+ years since I have gotten any pre-approvals, even from sub-sub-prime lenders. Even a few months ago, I would have accepted these just to have some new credit. But now, even though I have a very, very long way to go, I don't need them. That is a nice feeling and it says that I am on the right track. I'm in the garden for the next 12 months at the latest, just depending on when I can get negatives removed via EE and GW. At this time next year, all of my negatives will be gone, gone, gone!
