I did the dumbest thing and it pays off!!! i had a new collection account with UCB for a medical bill in 2011! They promise to delete it after payment but they refuse to put it in writing. Finally i spoke to a manager and he promise to personally remove from my reports once i paid. I paid over the phone with my debit card. Dumb, right? . I checked equifax today and it is gone!!! I called Equifax and they they said UCB asked to delete it!!!
my EQ score jumps from 628 to 649!!!
Congrats!
I would LOVE the same result..any chance you remember the manager's name and number to call? Appreciate it!

You don't need the managers name. If they don't agree to PFD, pay it and GW -- I have yet to see someone fail with UCB - Very easy to remove haha

I called UCB and asked to speak to a manager. They transfer me to manage named "Edit" . He was the one I dealt with and the I paid over the phone. He gave a phone number that you can try "Edit". But I used their customer number and reached him that morning. It was in the morning around 9 am. Before you contact them download a recorder app on your cell phone so you record the conversation. You must enable recorder before dialling to assure recording takes place. If they offer PFD over the phone, you can say you are recording. I told him that even though i wasn't really recording the phone call.
Good Luck!!

Thank you @admise78 for the tip on recording it. I did that and am waiting for the SW update..
I had a medical as well with them and long before I found the forum, I had paid it and after finding the forum, sent a GW letter reg mail and it was deleted.
