I haven't been listed under that name for almost 9 years, and I don't believe I was ever even able to get a credit card under my maiden name. I am not 100% sure on that because my credit report simply doesn't go back that far. (I should also mention that they mangled my maiden name on the recording, but because they pulled the credit report the day before they started calling, I assume it was simply a mispronounciation)
So I can only assume this is very, very old debt. I did not receive a letter from them, but what if they sent one and it didn't make it to me? For the last few weeks I've been getting my neighbors mail so I can't be 100% sure all of our mail in this neighborhood is going to the right place.
Advice?
I would do nothing at this point and just keep it in mind should a letter show up or it be reported on your CRs. Its quite possible its Zombie debt, Cinvergent is a huge JDB. As far as the SPs if the debt is yours they have the right to inquire even though its past CRTP and most likely SOL.
If they are pulling debt from my maiden name, it would have to be zombie debt. I've been married almost a decade now.
I will just keep it in mind, I did push the "this isn't me" button when they robo called me again today.
