USAA PFD?

Hello All,

I've been working on getting my neg's removed and I've sent 3 letters to USAA in an attempt to get this account settled but they don't ever reply to my letters. Has anyone ever been successful getting USAA to do a PFD? What am I doing wrong? Is it because they've already charged of the account? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Call USAA and ask about the account.  If it's been awhile, they may have already sent it to collections.

If it went to collections, you can ask them to do a PFD.

If at all possible, work with USAA directly!  They tend to get "short term memory haze" if you pay THEM in full.  If you settle for less, they may not extend credit ever again.  If you pay them in full, eventually, they get a hazy memory and will extend credit again.

If it went to collections, who would I ask a PFD from USAA or the collection agency they sent it to?  Have they been know to do PFD's?
