Unexpected BOA Goodwill Success!

This one came out of left field, and totally proves it doesn't hurt to try.  I submitted a GW email to the BOA CEO a few weeks ago to have a 60 and 90 day late removed from my now closed BOA Gold CC.  I got a customer service rep assigned to my case.  Real nice guy, understood what I was trying to accomplish, and why, explained the usual "Accurate info, blah blah, will look for inaccuracies that can help, etc"

A day later he called back, gave me the bad news, he couldn't delete any of the payments, or the tradeline (which I requested as worst case, since I'd rather lose the major derog than save the AAoA).  Not unexpected, but I expressed my disappointment and thanked him for his time.

Fast forward to today, when I do a fresh pull using Eliminate ID Theft daily pulls, and do a triple take while scrolling through.  I realize I don't have anything more than 30 day lates listed on that account.  It looks like he got them removed after all!

I verified with the myFICO TU report I pulled yesterday, and it is in fact gone.

Current Major Derog Count:

Experian - 0

Transunion - 1

Equifax - 1

I have a 6 year old Verizon charge off still listed.  I have an executive case outstanding on it however, they are scheduled to call me within a week.

Edit: Readability; was way too excited for grammar and complete sentences when I wrote this.

Re: Unexpected BOA Goodwill Success!

Great, I emailed the CEO office recently about a paid CO, waiting for answer. This is good news, it seems like they are slowly adapting their policies.

Re: Unexpected BOA Goodwill Success!

This is such a weird flurry of events, just after expressing such frustration at not getting the type of movement I had hoped for after working patiently since the spring.  Thanks again you guys, it's safe to say I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am without the forums.

Re: Unexpected BOA Goodwill Success!

Nice. I think I'm going to try them again then. I have 5 lates from about 16+ months ago that I'd love to have removed. I had written to them before and gotten then "we have to report accurate info" letter. Thanks for the update!
