Thanks to another poster whom mentioned Unique National Collections has changed their removal policy, I decided to give them a call.
As many of you know, their previous policy was to remove the account from your credit reports 1 year after the date your payment was received. They are now removing upon receipt of payment.
They were not scheduled to fall off my report until February, so I called this morning and the friendly representative informed me that they had requested removal on 9/24!!
I am one collection away from a clean report!
Thanks for sharing and great news for you! Congrats.
Awesome! I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if they'll agree to do a PFD. Thanks!
Congrats!!!!!

Go get em!
Ok so I called UNC and they asked me which library I rented from which I told them, and they said I can just go there and once I pay the fee they'll contact UNC about the received payment. UNC then updates their records on the 24th of each month. They said they will request from the credit agencies on that day to remove the tradeline Success! Heading to the library!

Awesome!
Yes, this just happened to me around Xmas. I paid my whopping $75 in late movie fines to local library, made copies of the receipts and mailed to UNC. I also threw in very short and sweet and friendly GW/PFD letters to both the library and UNC. I never really followed up. Low and behold, it's off all my CRs.

+1
I will be doing this next week! I'll update on my progress.
I paid a collection from them a month ago. As soon as the payment cleared I disputed it as "paid" and it was deleted within a few days of my dispute.
