United Collection Bureau (UCB) GW success

UCB has agreed to remove a paid collection account..

I sent a pretty standard GW letter, took about a month, 2 faxes and 2 regular letters

UCB has agreed to remove a paid collection account.

May I ask how long this account was paid prior to you sending your GW request?

Lets see; that was 18 months ago... I will check my files...

*checks files*

It was removed in about 3 weeks!

The funniest part is I wasn't lying ha

I have a external hard drive that has every single letter I have sent, every single letter recieved (scanned) and a database that has every single fact about every single account I dealt with.. It makes it easier to go back and help out; but also in the off chance I ever get into financial trouble again (lets hope not) I have all the contacts, and whatnot avail fast..

Hi Scott,

I currently have an account that is paid off with UCB. Could you PM me possibly the letter and address of where you send your GW letter. I am in the process of repairing my vredit and hoping to find the same success as you did with them.

Thanks,

Jlcoppag!

Very cool.  I have a debt that United no longer has and sent a letter to them just today to ask for removal.  Hope they are as nice.

No magic on this one, honestly.

I just used the address listed on the credit report and send a very standard GW letter asking for the removal.

Good luck!
