Utilization Question

I am at 77%.  When I get it down, what is a typical increase in score?  Are there too many other factors?  Thank You.

Re: Utilization Question

I know there is a lot of other factors as well, but dropping that down below 10% is for optimal FICO scoring.

EQ8: 646 EQ5: 652 V3.0: 665 **8/2015
TU8: 635 TU4: 700 V3.0 :663 **8/2015

Re: Utilization Question

Yes, way too many factors.  Collections, COs, lates.

Either way I would say at least 10-15 points if you brought it down to even 20%.

Re: Utilization Question

I gained 37 points today when utilization dropped from 37% to 19%.  In fact, my score has increased by a total of 90 points in paying down utilization from 87% to 19%, all in the last 3 weeks.

Re: Utilization Question

I saw a 25 points increase going from 31% to 16%. You can probably see a 50 point increase if you get it below 10%. Have you tried asking for a credit increase from your credit cards?

-Current Score: TU 719 EQ 705 and EX 708 1-11-15
-My Goal: 740+ on all 3
-My wallet:
NFCU Cash Rewards 17k,Fidelity Amex 10.1k, QS 8k, DCU Visa Platinum 7.5k, Chase Freedom 7k, Penfed Promise 6.5k, Amex BCE 6k and Citi 5K.

Re: Utilization Question

Me too...I like that answer.  I am going to get mine down and see if I can come close to that kind of increase
