I called the Verizon Wireless credit bureau. The account was PIF a few months ago, called today and they agreed to delete the tradeline. Good luck!

Congrats Roger! I'm trying to get two old CO's removed. Could you give me any details about your conversation strategy with them? I'm trying to figure out the best approach. I've been shot down a few times, but I can't give up!

Looks like they are softening their tone. They used to be nearly impossible to deal with. Back in the day I had PFD success with them and that took me a year and over a 100 letters before they caved.

If you don't mind I too am curious on your approach with them. I started with a GW letter and was shot down. I then tried the 800 number they gave me and received the same results. I had a Verizon account that I had made arrangements to settle. I was told the reason they wont help is due to the fact I had an arrangement with them I defaulted on. The reason I defaulted was due to my wife being laid off. Verizon really didn't care about my circumstances and made it seem like they wanted to punish me.
Thank you
