Just got off phone with Verizon Executive Relations in response to my 3rd round of GW letters. They informed me that it is their policy to never GW delete any account/late/co/ca. They said that only National Recovery Department has the authority to do this and they will only delete if the record shows that their reporting was not accurate.
Basically, Verizon position is they do not GW delete - ever. Has anyone had success with them for a purely GW adjustment?
They told me the same thing a 100+ times before they deleted due to a GW (on landline) and PFD (on wireless). Keep trying.
+1 llecs Kind of like when you were a kid bugging your parents... No, No, No, No... OK... just leave me alone. If they say no once, doesn't mean they're going to say 20 times.
I kindly told the guy that called me they should expect the keep receiving my letters. I told him that I would be more civilized about my approach with the letters than the collection agency they used that was just this shy of violating the Fair Debt Collection act.
A few stamps, free emails, a phone call here and there. Doesn't cost much. Maybe they'll get tired of you.

Stamps in my office are free Is there a Fair Collector Act? I wonder how many times a day I could call and write them before they claimed harassment?
I'm the same boat with Verizon.
Mailed a letter to the CEO for a PFD and now I'm getting collection notices at my new address .
They did offer a 50% settlement on a $600 bill, and noted they would update mr credit file to reflect a "paid" status.
Sent them a counter offer today - stating I would PIF if they would delete. I'm sure it'll get shot down.
