Send the PFD by snail mail first, then try a couple PFDs up the ladder.

Hmmm...snai mail may be a bit tricky since I'm living in Thailand.
Will this adversely affect my credit the longer it stays on?
Specifically, will having it on there for 3 or 4 months whilst trying to get it removed bring my credit down even further?
If so, I will probably just pay it off.
As alwyas, thanks a bunch!

No, actually as it ages it hurts your score less.

@Shogun
If I don't pay if off and it ages my score gets better.
But, if if pay it off now and it is still there will it get better faster?
The reason I'm concerned is that I may be moving back to the US in July. If I do I will need to buy a car.
Thanks again!

From a scoring point of view, it does no good to pay the debt. Unless it is from the OC and is a debt that is factoring into your util, the paid/unpaid doesn't matter to scoring, they are looked at the same. A PFD would be the best route, it would remove the TL entirely.
