So apparently, my Verizon Wireless collection is being reported as a revolving account and factored into my credit card utilization. It didn't bother my score before because it was in dispute but now I have taken off the disputes it is showing high utilization of 73%. My actual credit cards are all paid down to 9% utilization. So my question since Verizon won't pay for delete, they will list this a paid in full...shouldn't it have a positive impact on my credit score? I'm thinking the recent activity of me paying it won't hurt me because it is listed as an account with high utilization and not a typcial collection. Is that right?
If it is being factored into your utilization and you pay it, it will have a big impact on your score, for the better. Then it will be forever removed from factoring in.
