Go into your settings and uncheck the box for a subscription to this thread.  You probably have your preferences set to subscribe to every thread you post in so you get an update everytime someone posts.

I really appreciate the response although I have searched everywhere to find "settings" I should bring to your attention I only have an iPad if that makes a difference.
