Well so far my hardwork is paying off. I have had my WF secured card for 1 year this past October and yesterday I got the letter saying they will refund and graduate me to a unsecured card in the next 45 days!! Super pumped. Now lets hope my US bank will do the same thing in about a year. I have only had that card for 2 months.
Anyone that has gone through this process, care to explain it to me? Does it really take 45 days? Do they give you the same limit that you had with your deposit? Like my card has a limit of 1000 will the unsecured be higher or lower?
If its lower, can I keep the secured card open?
Thanks!!![]()

Congrats! Normally when a secured card is converted over to a unsecured card, the limit will usually either stay the same or you're granted a CLI during the process. Thats generally the case when a card unsecures. I can't talk about the WF secured specifically, since I have no personal experience with that exact card. I'd be a bit surprised if they give you a lower limit once the card converts over. Again, congrats!
