Re: What are my options???

You should start with a DV letter before doing anything or offering anything.  Ask for name and address of OC and an itemization of charges.

Check your state laws for any further protections you may have.

I don't know my start scores, but low 500s. 6/2013

They told you to skip a mortgage payment to pay them? You can try sending a DV letter, if it is timely then it would put a cease collection bar on them until they decide to validate.

Re: What are my options???

yes they did, however it was probably in 2009 or 2010 when they said it. I have not heard from them since they got into trouble with all the fines. No calls, no letters, I figure due to being past SOL...

Re: What are my options???

DV letter would be considered untimely at this point. is the debt listed on your reports still?
