Hi

I reported earlier that I was given a new SSN. Since then it has been hard to get credit. But I finally have 2 CO cards and a loan with my CU. I do have about 20-25 inquiries from car shopping, which never got approved. What should I be doing now to get the best results? I want to buy a new car next year, and a house fairly soon as well. Any guidance is appreciated.

You need to get a 3rd card to maximize your scores. Also I thought about your earlier post and think you should try and refi your car loan with your CU as soon as you can. That will get your car loan reporting to the right SSN.

Good point. I would bet they will refi for me soon as well.

Probably, my CU has been great to me. I have a car loan, cc and a plo with them in the last 6 months. They have really helped with my rebuild.
